About the Blog
When I began this blog in early 2012, I had the full intentions of making this a blog about training for a half marathon and all of the joys and struggles that go along with training for any type of major event. However, as you can see here, the blog was refocused to more than just training for a 1/2 marathon. The blog now focuses on my day-to-day life as I know it with a side of crafting, cooking, baking and enjoying the great company of others.
My name is Jackie Vore and I am a 26-year-old somewhat newly wed, college graduate, living in Auburn Hills, Michigan. I have lived in Michigan for almost all of my life and wouldn't trade it for the world. On top of living in beautiful Michigan, I have a wonderful husband whom treats me like a princess. My husband is my everything and I feel so grateful that he is a part of my life.
Spending time with my family and friends is one of my favorite pastimes along with reading, crafting, baking, cooking and running of course! I find myself the happiest whenever I am able to just spend time with people and enjoy a good laugh. I am a firm believer that laughter is the best cure for the sad soul. I also love to travel whenever I have the opportunity and will jump quickly into any new adventures that come my way.
Why I Chose This Name
I chose the name, RunwithJackabee for two reasons:
- As a little girl, my aunt called me Jackabee and that nickname has stuck with me for as long as I can remember, and a handful of people still address me as such
- You are going to be coming along for the exciting and adventurous ride that is my life. We will be winding through the chaos of work full-time and working toward my master's degree, on top of taking on the terrifying and exciting journey of finding my birth parents.
