Happy Monday friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Door's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING:  My 29th birthday is this weekend and I'm looking forward to celebrating with friends and family! I love spending time with people that are important to me so this week is very exciting.

CLEANING: We've been purging a lot of stuff from our house lately and our focus has been on our closet and dressers.  I have 4 drawers left of clothes to go through then I will move onto our linen closet in our bathroom.  We have too much expired medicine in there taking up space.

DRINKING: Trying to drink coffee without cream and sugar and I have to admit... it's now awful.  But honestly, there's nothing better than a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.  But a cup of black coffee at home is much cheaper than any Starbucks drink.

FEELING: Relaxed.  One thing I have been working on is taking 10-15 minutes for myself every day.  No technology, not distractions (unless I'm reading a book) and just enjoying focusing on myself.

WATCHING:  Dancing with the Stars has a 4 week season so I've been watching that with my friend Caroline.  We've also been watching the Star Wars movies since I've seen them all but it's been way too long and I get the stories jumbled up often.

PLAYING: Not really playing any games right now.  This weekend our friends are coming over and we will likely play a few of my favorite board games, but otherwise no gaming for me.

READING: Right now I am reading Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody from my April Owlcrate box and I'm loving it so far! It keeps me on my toes and keeps me consistently engaged.

RECOVERING: I did not drink enough water this weekend so I am trying to get back on track.  I really hate being dehydrated but sometimes it happens.  So this week I'm aiming for 100oz a day of water.

TRYING: Now that I am working from home almost every day I have been trying to keep up on our chores.  This includes doing a load of laundry every day, making the bed, general clean up and keeping things in organized.  So far the routine is working but I am tweaking it as I go.

WEARING: Mostly jean capris and t-shirts.  This time of year the weather bounces around so a good pair of capris is good compromise between jeans and shorts.  Then I layer a t-shirt with a cardigan so I have the ability to take layers off if I get too warm.

Question of the Day: What do you have going on "currently"?
I'd love to hear from you!

Happy Thursday friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Door's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING:  Two weddings and a baby shower! We have two weddings and a baby shower this month and I am super excited.  I love celebrating with people as they begin new journeys in their lives.  Plus, the food is almost always wonderful at weddings and baby showers.

CLEANING: I desperately need to clean out my closet and get rid of some clothing/shoes/accessories.  Maybe I will make time for that this weekend? Maybe.

DRINKING: Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks almost every day.  I love the iced version and it is the perfect pick me up every morning when I've had a rough start to my day (because I am not a morning person at all)

FEELING: A little overwhelmed.  We have officially been living in our house for one year (OMG how did that happen?) and there is still so much we want to get done with the house and we have little to no time to do it.

WATCHING:  From a TV perspective, I've been watching Pretty Little Liars and Downward Dog.  Downward Dog is a new show and I wasn't sure how much I'd like it, but the humor is dry and right up my alley.  And this is the final season of Pretty Little Liars, so I have been watching those regularly so I don't miss anything.

PLAYING: Last week I started playing Fallout 4 with my friend, Nick.  We ended up putting several hours into the game over the past two weekends and I really have been enjoying the game.

READING: If you have been following along with the blog, you should have seen my #HPReadathon2017 posts!  Starting May 15th, I have been working my way through the Harry Potter books and some of the companion books.  I also have been trying to read How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr.

RECOVERING: My body hurts from working out so I have been trying to help my body recover quickly after a good booty kicking.

TRYING: To cook more at home than eating out.  Justin and I really need to get into the routine of cooking meals at home so I've been working to have a meal planned for every day each week.  Some weeks we do really well and others we just fall flat on our faces.  Thankfully this week has been a good week so far for meals.

WEARING: It is that time of year where we go from warm to cold then back to warm so I've been wearing a lot of layers lately.  This usually consists of a shirt with a blazer or cardigan - just depends on how casual I am feeling that day.

Happy Thursday friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Door's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING: Our trip to Florida at the end of the month! We are heading down there for his cousin's wedding and I am looking forward to some warmer weather than what we've had here lately.

CLEANING: Nothing too specific lately.  I really need to go through my craft room and start kicking butt on that space, but that is more purging than it is cleaning.  I also need to take my sewing machine in for a deep clean and fix.

DRINKING: I have really been digging the Cascara Latte from Starbucks and I think I have a few per week.  I appreciate that they are bitter with just a touch of sweetness to them.  It's the perfect drink on a cold morning.

FEELING: Excited.  Justin and I have been getting quotes for landscaping and a patio in the back.  I am hoping to get at least 2 more quotes before we settle with anyone.  But I am really excited with what we have seen so far.

WATCHING:  Honestly, I haven't been watching too much TV lately except for a few shows {This is Us, My Big Fat Fabulous Life & ANTM}.  Lately it's just been reading books which is always fun.

PLAYING: So we played Secret Hitler a few weekends ago with Kevin and Nick and this game is super fun! It's a game of wit and deceit.  Thankfully I managed to identify and kill Hitler twice so I felt pretty good.  If you're looking for a fun game that is a bit different, I highly recommend Secret Hitler.

READING: I just finished We Were Liars yesterday.  Oh my goodness that ending was NOT at all what I was expecting it to be! I really enjoyed the book and I actually might read it again to see if they give clues about the ending that I maybe missed.  I've also been listening to the Ranger's Apprentice Series with Justin.  If you like battle/fantasy reads, then I would recommend the Ranger's Apprentice series for sure.  Today I am going to start reading Illuminae.  This book came highly recommended by my friends at The Owlcrate Society so I am super excited to read this book!

RECOVERING: I have been fighting a cold/headache/allergies since early February.  With Michigan's weather floating between 30 degrees and 70 degrees in a week's time, my body is really not sure what to do.

TRYING: To spend more time doing what Justin likes to do.  We've both been so busy lately that it seemed only fair to spend time doing some of the things he loves doing.

WEARING: Whatever I could find.  We didn't have power this morning, so I was limited in what I could see.  Thankfully, I managed to grab an outfit I like and make myself look somewhat put together this morning.

Happy Thursday friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Door's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING: Setting up my craft room/office space! I've been spending so much time looking around Pinterest for how I want to set up my room and I think I may have overwhelmed myself a little bit.  But I think this is where I landed for my room (at least from a desk perspective) - what do you think?

CLEANING: Right now I am going through anything and everything and trying to purge as much as possible.  The goal is to get rid of everything we do not need anymore and donate or sell it to someone then organizing what is left behind.

DRINKING: Lots of coffee and water.  For some reason I have been having a hard time jumping back into the routine of work after having a few weeks off at the end of last year.  So coffee has been my lifeline.  Not to mention I was trying to win Starbucks for Life.

FEELING: Honestly, a little sad.  For some reason January gives me a hard time and I start missing my grandmother in January.  She was such a pillar in my family and my life and I start to miss her once the Christmas season ends.

WATCHING: Gilmore Girls! I watched Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life in November and love it. But I was not able to finish the series before it released so I have been working to finish the series so I can feel a little more caught up.

PLAYING: So Justin's mom grabbed a game in the clearance section at Target for me and we've been obsessed with it lately! If you love games that are challenging and more a "who done it" type game.  The game is called 221 B Baker Street and it is so much fun! We also picked up Pandemic on Monday while we were shopping around Target! I am so excited to play it next week when our friends come over for dinner! I have heard nothing but good things about it so far.

READING: I am still reading What Alice Forget.  I finally decided to start it over this month since it had been so long since I started the book and my goal is to finish it by the end of the month.  Plus I have another book coming in my Owlcrate this month that I want to read.

RECOVERING: My left arm is a little sore from Justin's birthday party on Sunday.  We went "bomb bowling" (which is where you use a football instead of a bowling ball) and it was so much fun.  But apparently, my throwing muscles are not in the best shape and they're sore.

TRYING: Took cook more at home.  We are trying to be more diligent with our health and our money, so what better way to improve our health and save some money than cooking at home? If you have any good recipes, please share them!

WEARING: For Christmas my mom bought me the cutest Poncho that I have been wearing at least one to two times a week either for work our just for lounging around.  I seriously feel like I am wearing a stylish blanket every time I leave the house.  I can't find the link to the exact one I have, but here is a cute one that is super similar!

ANTICIPATING: Halloween! This is the first year that we will have Trick-o-Treater's! I am so excited to get some candy and pass it out to all of the kids in the neighborhood.  Plus, it will be fun to do some decorating for the house.  If you have a chance, check out my Halloween Craft Roundup that I posted yesterday.

CLEANING: So much laundry.  No matter how much laundry I complete, I feel like I am constantly doing more.  Justin and I are going to purge some clothing so hopefully that will help, but the biggest thing is doing one load of laundry a day instead of doing 4-5 in one day.

DREADING: All of the colds that happen this time of year.  We are still experiencing some very warm weather so the allergens are staying away, but as soon as it cools off allergies will kick in and colds will start happening.

DRINKING: I have been drinking a ton of Gatorade and water the last few weeks.  Trying to stay hydrated after being sick.

FEELING: Excited! Our annual fort sleepover is a week from Saturday and it will be the first time we are having it at the new house.  I am excited to see how this year goes since we are in a new location! I bet it will be even more epic than years past.

LISTENING: Currently I am listening to The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman on Audible and it is SO good.  I am about halfway through the book and I am riveted.  Be looking for my review at the end of the month once I get a chance to finish the book.

PLAYING: Last month Justin and I got a Nintendo 3DS in Red and I have been addicted to it.  As a kid I loved playing my GameBoy and this takes me back to the hours of Super Mario and Kirby that I played when I was a kid.  The best part? They have versions of both of those games for the 3DS that I can play now.

READING: Right now I am still reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.  I am also planning to read Miss Peregine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs before the movie comes out on September 30th.

RECOVERING: For the past week or so, I have been recovering from a stomach bug.  It has been tearing through the office and several people have been sick over the past few weeks.  I was one of it's victims and have been recovering from the bug.

TRYING: To get more organized.  Lately I've been feeling a little overwhelmed at home and realized it is because things are a bit disorganized.  Part of the problem is I just do not have space to put things and another part of the problem is the fact that we are not done unpacking.  Hopefully things will get moving soon and we will be a little more settled in the near future.

WAITING: Justin and I ordered our dining room table last week and it is going to take 8-10 weeks to arrive.  I cannot wait for it to come in so we can start decorating that space.  Right now it is just empty and does not have anything in it.  I am really hoping we are able to get it decorated before Thanksgiving.

WEARING: My booties! I am so excited that it is fall and I can wear some boots and booties.  I picked up these booties from Zulily and love them!

ANTICIPATING: The cooler weather! With Fall just around the corner, I am really looking forward to wearing leggings, boots and scarves.  Fall is my favorite season and I have been so excited to break out all of my fall clothes.  In fact, I am having Justin hang some racks for me so I can get my scarves organized!

CLEANING: So much laundry.  No matter how much laundry I complete, I feel like I am constantly doing more.  Justin and I are going to purge some clothing so hopefully that will help, but the biggest thing is doing one load of laundry a day instead of doing 4-5 in one day.

Happy Thursday Friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Dorr's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING My trip to Traverse City! I have not been in a super long time and I am looking forward to a long weekend getaway with my friends.  It will be awesome to just get away for a weekend and enjoy some girl time.

CLEANING The garage.  We still have a ton of boxes in our garage and the goal is to get them all cleaned out before our housewarming party on August 20th.  We will see if we can actually get it done!

DREADING Studying for the PMP Exam.  One of my goals this year for work is to get PMP Certified and it takes a lot of time and energy to get the certification.  I know I will be very happy when I pass the exam, but in the mean time I am dreading the time drain it will take on me (not to mention the cost).

DRINKING I have been trying to drink a lot more water.  With the temperature sitting in the high 80s/ low 90s the last few weeks I am constantly thirsty.  So I have been trying to get a ton of water in every day.  It does not always happen, but I am always trying.

FEELING Excited! We have a lot of exciting things happening this month and it will be great to just have time with family and friends.

LISTENING I just finished listening to The Last Star (the last book in The 5th Wave series) and I am sad it is over.  The series ended with twists and turns and I was surprised by how the book ended.  I am hoping to find another good book to listen to since my commute is an hour each way.

PLAYING Pokemon Go.  All day, every day.  Well not really, but sometimes it feels like it.  I finally caught a Pikachu a few days ago and now I feel complete! Now to work on evolving them.

READING In July I finished reading The 5th Wave Series.  If you have not heard of the series, I would recommend checking them out! This month I read The Last Star which is the final book in the series and I have to say it was my favorite of the three.  I also started reading What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty and so far I am intrigued.  Once I finish What Alice Forgot I am going to read the newest Harry Potter Book: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.  It came in the mail yesterday and I am so excited!

RECOVERING CycleBar has been kicking my butt so hard lately! It feels like I got kick in the butt with a steel boot.  So I am giving my booty a few days to get itself back together then will hop back on the bike next week.

TRYING Different music out! One of the girls created a fun playlist for the trip to Traverse City this weekend and I am excited that I really enjoyed most of the music and have since added them to my collection.  It is so nice to switch things up a little and get into a different mindset with music.

WAITING To buy some furniture for the house! I cannot wait to get a dining room table! If will be great to seat more than four people at the table at a time.

WEARING It has been SO hot lately that I've been basically living in tank tops and shorts as soon as I get out of work.  I'm also excited because I found a romper that actually looks good on me! I'll post pictures later.

Happy Thursday Friends! I hope your week has been going well so far and you are looking forward to some fun plans this weekend! Today I am doing another fun round of "currently".  I came across this idea on Becca Dorr's Blog - you should check her out!

ANTICIPATING The first weekend in August I am going to Traverse City with some friends and I cannot wait! I have not been there is a long time so I am getting excited about the weekend getaway with friends and seeing a different side of the state for a change.

CLEANING Constantly.  We are still in the process of unpacking everything, so it feels like every time I turn around, I am cleaning something.  Thankfully we have a goal to get every.single.box unpacked by the end of the month so I won't be doing this much longer!

DREADING Honestly, I don't think I am dreading anything right now.  Life has been pretty exciting and I have been focusing on all of the wonderful things happening lately that every day feels like an adventure.

DRINKING Iced coffee and water.  With adding more workouts into my day, I have been more tired than usual.  So of course, the natural thing is to have coffee, right? I finally tried my favorite Starbucks drink iced and I am hooked.  I love getting a Zebra Mocha (non-fat with whip) iced! It makes my day.  If I am not drinking my mocha, I am drinking water.  No more pop for this lady.

FEELING Excited! We have a ton of fun things planned this month and I am excited to do everything! I love getting together with our friends and enjoying each other's company.  So this month will be so much fun.

LISTENING Backstreet Boys Pandora radio.  Sarah picked the Backstreet Boys station for the 4th of July and ever since then I have been jamming to the music of my childhood.  I love all of the good memories this Pandora Station brings.

PLAYING Angry Birds! After we saw the Angry Birds movie I ended up downloading the game and have been playing it ever since then.  #guiltypleasure

READING For June I read The Heir and The Crown by Keira Cass.  In July I am planning to  read  the final book in The 5th Wave Series, The Last Star.  I am also reading For the Love: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards by Jen Hatmaker.

RECOVERING I have been working out almost every day since The Bikini Series Challenge #2 started, so I have been trying to let my body recover from the beating I have been putting it through.  Protein and potassium are my main diet right now.

TRYING new foods! One of the good things about trying a new workout/diet is that I am being exposed to recipes and foods that I might not have otherwise done.  Thankfully, I have only found one thing that I really did not like.  I am looking forward to finding more things to incorporate into my diet!

WAITING to find out if we owe taxes or will be getting anything back.  I am hoping that we paid more into escrow than we needed and will be able to get some money back.  We will see! Fingers crossed.

WEARING So much workout clothing! I actually bought a few workout capris and a tank top from Kohl's the other day and cannot wait for them to come in the mail! Check out the links here, here and here.
