Month at a Glance | 30 Days of Thankful

Hi All! It's so hard to believe that November is already here! October flew by with all of the fun and exciting things we did and it looks like November is going to go at about the same pace.

I hope everyone is as excited as I am about the upcoming holidays with all of the delicious food and treats and wonderful time spent with family.  When I think of November, I think of Thanksgiving, turkeys, leaves falling off trees, hot cocoa and pumpkin pie.  I also think about everything that I need to be thankful for.

Our Events for November:
  1. Snow Show with Justin's Family
  2. My cousin's 6th birthday party
  3. Celebrate my friend's 25th birthday
  4. Mom 2 Mom sale for Infantly Cute
  5. Pinterest Party with my girlfriends
  6. Our first ever Red Wings Game
  7. Celebrating my Step-Dad's birthday
  8. First ever Craft Show with Infantly Cute
  9. Thanksgiving with our Families

Overall, it looks like we will be spending some fun time with our family and friends and I look forward to spending some much needed time with my family.

Also for the month of November, I will be participating in 30 Days of Thankful.  Each day (starting today) I will be posting something {either here on the blog, on Facebook, or Twitter} things that I am thankful for.

I hope you join me in this little adventure and that you receive the same job that I bring from focusing on being grateful.

30 Days of Thankful

Day 1: I am thankful for my husband.  He brings me so much joy and happiness
Day 2: I am thankful for my family - they bring me happiness and stability when I feel like I have none
Day 3: I am thankful for my friends.  They know me in such a way that no one else does and it's comforting to know they love me by choice and not out of obligation
Day 4: I am thankful for the ability to work.  It is something I often take advantage of.

Question of the Day:
What are you Thankful for?

Two Year Anniversary: Part II

It is amazing how quickly two years can pass when you are having fun with your significant other.  On our actual anniversary day, I took the day off so Justin and I could be home with each other all day.  He had to work from home so I laid around and relaxed while he worked.  It was nice relaxing at home for the day and not having to worry about a thing.

After Justin was done with work, we made our way to our local Cheesecake Factory.  Justin has never been to a Cheesecake Factory and it has been a long time since I had been there, so I was super excited when we decided to head there for dinner.  Can you tell the menu was overwhelming? Justin was not sure where to start.

We ended up ordering stuffed mushrooms and crab & artichoke dip for a starter.  For my dinner I got the Chicken Medeira and it was absolutely to die for! I ended up eating only half of my meal and taking the rest home because I wanted to extend the deliciousness.

Justin ordered a delicious steak with a side of mac n' cheese that was very delicious and for dessert we ended up ordering the Original Cheesecake with Strawberries and a slice of the Chocolate Tuxedo Cream.  Then we ordered a slice of the S'Mores Cheesecake and the Snickers cheesecake to go.  We definitely spent too much money on cheesecake, but it was so delicious.

After dinner we went shopping at 12 Oaks Mall to spend some more time together.  I have been trying to buy some boots for myself but due to the fact that I have larger calves, it has been been very difficult.  I originally bought two different pairs of boots but neither of them fit over my calves.

Black Pair  | Brown Pair

As you can imagine, I was super excited to find some boots that fit over my calves! I found a few different pairs that fit over my calves and ended up getting a few pairs!  I got the two on the left because they are more neutral and can be wore with more items.

Left |  Middle | Right
After shopping we headed home for the night to cuddle and relax until we went to bed.  Such a wonderful anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Justin, I love you!

Halloween Mantel Decorations 2013

Happy Sunday Everyone! Did you remember to set your clocks back? I did not and was very confused this morning when I woke up.

Today I wanted to share my Halloween 2013 Mantel with you.  I had intended on sharing this a while back but got distracted with everything else going on and completely blanked on it.   So here is my mantel with links to tutorials on how to do everything!
  1. Boo Chevron Printable from Two Twenty One
  2. Chevron Button Pumpkin Canvas from I Heart Naptime
  3. Pumpkin Banner from Tatertots & Jello ~ I'm excited about these because they have dual use
  4. Trick or Treat Printable Bunting from Lil Luna
  5. Subway Art Halloween Printable from Craft-O-Matic

All of the other decorations you see had been purchased in the past either from Walmart or Meijer and were used in my college dorm as decorations.  They worked perfectly with my theme this year and I was excited to not have to spend any more on these ones.

I had a blast putting together my mantel for this year and have already began collecting ideas for next year's mantel! If you'd like to check them out, see my Halloween Board on my Pinterest Account.

I'm going to begin working on my Mantel for Thanksgiving and have already started brainstorming a few ideas for that too! Hopefully I will be able to share them with you prior to the holiday passing this time {I'll do my best}.

Thanks for checking in, I look forward to talking with you soon!
