Mother's Day Project Roundup

Hello Readers! How is your week going so far? My Monday has been non-stop since I arrived this morning and will continue to be busy until I get home later tonight!

On a fun note:

I hope you have some fun plans to celebrate today!

As you know, Mother's Day is coming up in less than a week, so I wanted to share some fun projects that you can do as a gift for your mom to celebrate her!

Don't these look like so much fun! I'm hoping to try and make most of these for my mom in the next two weeks, but I have a feeling that will not happen because I am so busy.  There are for sure two that I want to get done, and if I do I will make sure to share them with you all!

Mother's Day Gift from Shanty-2-Chic

Amy's Apron Tutorial from WhollyKao

Aviary Mother's Day Card from SplitCoastStampers

Mother's Day Flower Pot by A Diamond in the Stuff

Mother's Day Gift DIY Gift Wrap from Bubbly Nature Creations

I'm sure you could find this printable somewhere on Pinterest (I've seen it in other colors) but I wanted to give credit to the original one I saw.

DIY Bird Next Necklace from Sarah Ortega

Mother's Day Card from All About You

Those are my favorite Mother's Day pins that I found on Pinterest! What do you think? I am hoping I can make at least one of them for my mom before next Sunday, but that will depend on how my week goes! I will have a busy work week and a busy weekend as well.

Question of the Day:
What projects have you made for your mom?

#jackabeedaily2014 Week 17

Hello Everyone! How is your week going so far? Mine has been flying by and I am {like always} wondering how in the world it is already Friday!

This week has flown by for me! How about you?

Day 115: Took the kitties to the vet to get Leilah some shots and have Frye's eye checked out.  Leilah is healthy but Frye still has a long way to get his eyes recovered

Day 116: Spent the day with Danielle and Justin's Aunt Margy working on my Smashbook that Danielle got me for Christmas! I'm rather proud that I was able to get all of the pictures I wanted into the book before we left.

Day 117: Sunday was spent hanging out with my girlfriends and celebrating Caroline getting engaged! Of course, it is not a fun girls night unless we are painting our nails!

Day 118: This. Only this. haha

Day 119: Saw this pretty cloud on my way to the gym and had to grab a picture.  We have had yucky weather all week, so I was thrilled when I saw the fluffy white cloud in the sky.

Day 120: Danielle and I went shopping to look for dresses for a birthday party/bridal shower/bachelorette party. So what do you think? Left or Right?

Day 121: Justin, Danielle, Ned and Eric came over and had lunch with me! I loved seeing them all for lunch!

What exciting things have happened for you in the past week! I'd love to hear from you all!

May Flowers are a Bloomin'

Hello May

Can I just point out that we are already in the month of MAY! I am having such a hard time comprehending that April is already over and we are making our way into May.

May is a super busy month in our household with Mother's Day, my birthday, and my mom's birthday and this month is going to be extra busy, but I personally would not have it any other way.

In Chronological Order:

  • Birthday Celebration with my family
  • Photo Shoot for Justin and I
  • CD Release Party #2 for Justin's Boss
  • Surprise Birthday Celebration for me that Justin Planned
  • Mother's Day
  • Painting with a Twist with my girlfriends
  • Girls Weekend with Danielle and Sarah
  • Movie Monday
  • Mom's Birthday Celebration
  • Tiger's Game with my Family
  • My cousin, Kellie's, 21st Birthday
  • My cousin, Courtney's Bridal Shower & Bachelorette Party
If you remember, for my birthday last year, we made our way to Ypsilanti to do the Color Run! I was hoping that this could become a tradition for us, but The Color Run is not coming to our area until the third weekend in June and we missed the deadline to sign up.  I am not sure what Justin is planning for me, but from what I can gather, it is going to be a ton of fun!

Other Happenings in May!

I did pretty well sticking on track to getting my workouts in for April and completing a majority of my challenges for myself, so I am going to continue with the challenges for the month of May.  If you have not had a chance yet, make sure to check out my book review for The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing post.

My Challenges in April are:
I am going to hate doing the tricep dips! Why did I sign myself up for that? I know, I know, they are super good for me, but still.  There is nothing like doing them to make your arms feel super weak.  I am tempted to measure my arms before I start doing these and after to see how much tricep dips really do help.  If I remember, I will post the measurements in one of my next posts!

Question of the Day:
What fun things do you have planned in May?
