Holiday Dresses and Holiday Treats - Groupon Coupons

The following is a sponsored post, which means I am compensated in some form for writing it.  All opinions are my own.

Happy Thursday Friends!
I hope your week has been going well and you have successfully made it over the hump.  This week has been a bit weird for me since I got home from California Monday evening and have been thrown off at work due to not being in the office on Monday.  Thankfully Friday will be a slower day for me, so I do not have too much to stress out about.

Today I wanted to share with you a little bit about Groupon Coupons! Groupon coupons has helped me out on more than one occasion because I almost always look for a coupon when I am at a store just in case I can save a little extra money (because who does not love saving some money).

If you have not heard about Groupon Coupons, you should definitely try them out! They have hundreds of options for coupons that are readily available to customers on both their app on their website.  They are so convenient and they change frequently so you have a chance to get different coupons on a regular basis.

When it comes to the holidays, I almost always make it a point to get a new dress (because who does not love a new dress) and my go to place is almost always Dressbarn.  Not only do they have cute clothing, but they have stuff for every body type.  Of course, I took a few minutes to look for coupons on Groupon Coupons to see how much I could save and they had 20% off! Score!

I also was able to use Groupon Coupons for a little treat from For You Flowers! If you you have not heard of For You Flowers, you should definitely check them out! Their flowers are beautiful and make a great gift for someone that is difficult to shop for.  And at 50% off with Groupon Coupons, you really cannot beat the price.  These would be a sweet gift to send to someone that you will be missing this holiday season.

So what do you think? I hope you are able to find some fun and exciting coupons to use while you are shopping during the holidays!

Question of the Day: Have you used any Groupon Coupons?

I'd love to hear from you!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received payment from Groupon for this post. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Read my full disclosure policy here.

Weekend Highs & Lows #48

Hello everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend filled with fun and exciting adventures

Happy Tuesday friends! Sorry I missed a post yesterday! I was flying home from California after running the Disneyland 10k & 1/2 Marathon.  This weekend was crazy busy, but it was so much fun!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Highs:

I spend the entire weekend in California and I ran a 10k and a 1/2 marathon! This weekend was so much fun and I am so glad that I went.

On Thursday we flew into California and made our way to Malibu for lunch.  It was so nice to just sit by the ocean and enjoy some fresh fish.  After lunch, we made our way back to the house before running to the grocery store for food for the house.

Friday morning, Christina and I made our way to the LuLaRoe Factory to check out how they do their shipping and to see how they run their business.  It was so cool to see how they run everything and have someone show us how things are done.

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and made our way to Disneyland for the 10k race! It was a super early wake up call, but we all finished the race in good time and enjoyed seeing the park and all of the crowds cheering us on.

For the afternoon, we went out to Huntington Beach so that we could stick our feet in the water and enjoy a lovely sunset.  I have never been to the Atlantic Ocean, so it was pretty awesome to just stick my feet in the water and it felt really great - almost healing for my sore feet.

Sunday, we had another 3:00 a.m. wake up call to head out for our half-marathon.  This 1/2 was a little more difficult for me because after about half way the heat started to get to me and my lungs (and body in general) started giving out from the lack of water and the heat.

I am excited to say that I managed to finish the 1/2 marathon 22 minutes faster than the last race I did.  This makes me happy because it is my last 1/2 marathon for a little while due to time and the physical strain on my body.

Here are all of my metals! In order from left to right: Doctor Strange 10k, Avengers 1/2 Marathon, Infinity Gauntlet Challenge and Coast to Coast.  Aren't they neat? Now to find a way to display them!

Monday we made our way home and I crashed as soon as I got home.

Lows:
My asthma got the best of me and I am having a hard time recovering from the strain on my lungs.

Show and Tell: If I Won the Lottery

Happy Tuesday Friends! I hope all is well and you are having a great day so far! Today I am teaming up with Andrea for another fun round of Show and Tell Tuesdays.

But before I get started, I wanted to say for those of you in the United States - please take time to go and vote today.  I am planning to go sometime in the morning and will anxiously await the results with everyone else.

If I Won the Lottery...

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

If I won the lottery.... what would I do? I honestly think this is something that Justin and I talk about on an almost weekly, if not twice weekly basis.  It is so fun to dream about what I would do if I had a million dollars or even millions of dollars.

So here is what we've come up with when we talk about winning the lottery....

1. Pay off all of our debt.  As someone in their late twenties, debt is a very real part of our lives.  I mean, it is less common now than ever for someone to get through college without debt.  So the first thing we would do is pay off our debt (house, school, car, etc.).

2. Set up college/wedding funds for future children.  So this sounds super responsible, but we have always talked about wanting to be able to bless our children with not having debt after college or getting married.  Both of our parents provided us with a large blessing to not have to pay for any of our wedding so we would like to do the same for our children.

3. Travel.  So this would be more a me thing than a Justin thing, but I would want to take some time and travel the world.  I have been on three different continents, so my goal would be to hit all of them.  And with lottery money, it would be so much easier.

4. Give Back.  While the previous three items may come across as selfish, the biggest thing Justin and I would like to do is find a way to give back to our community.  Whether it is building a homeless shelter or providing opportunities for someone they might never have, we want to make sure that we give back.  If we were to ever be blessed with winning the lottery we would plan to give anywhere between 10-20% back.

5. Invest. While this option is not "fun", we would want to make sure that we invest the money back in a manner that is wise.  In this situation, we would have to do something with a financial planner.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Well that is all for today's post! Looking back at it, it almost looks like we are being too practical doesn't it? Oh well! At least we know we'd try to be responsible with the money if we ever won anything.

Next up on Show and Tell Tuesdays.....

Gifts you'd like in the categories: Want, Need, Wear, Read.

Question of the Day: What is your favorite Halloween memory?

I'd love to hear from you!

Weekend Highs & Lows #47

Hello everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend filled with fun and exciting adventures

How is it Monday already!? It is so hard to believe that we are already into the beginning of the holiday season! Have you started shopping for the holidays? I actually got a little of a head start and have checked a few people off of my list for this year! It feels good to get some people done so I know I will not have to worry about it later.  Now to start wrapping the gifts.....

This weekend was filled with some fun and exciting things! I cannot wait to share them all with you!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Highs:

Friday night Justin and I made plans with Nick & Kevin to go do dinner and a movie.  We were going out to celebrate Kevin's birthday a little early (his birthday is the 14th) because Kevin is highly involved in the election and will be going home to count votes for tomorrow's election.  For dinner we went to Ram' Horn and of course I had breakfast because their breakfast is just so good.  After dinner, we made out way to the movies to see Doctor Strange.  From what I saw of the movie, I really enjoyed.  Unfortunately, with about 30 or so minutes left in the movie the theater lost power.  So we did not get to see the end of the movie.  Thankfully Emagine gave us passes to see the movie at a later date (though I am really not sure when that will happen).  After leaving the movies a little earlier than anticipate, we headed back to our house to play some video games and just hang out - oh and give Kevin his birthday gifts!

Justin and I got Kevin a Supreme Court Case Mug from the Unemployed Philosophers Guild.  The cool thing is the losing case disappears as the mug heats up.  Kevin had so much fun looking at all of the different cases and educating us on some of them.  I am glad he liked it because we were not 100% sure he would.

On Saturday, I had my first ever Thirty-One Launch Party! I have been debating selling Thirty-One for easily four years and decided to just take the leap and see what happens.  If you do not know what Thirty-One is, I am sure you have seen at least one of their bags or products.  Known for their bags, Thirty-One has been empowering women to build their own business while also prioritizing their families.  And it is these foundational beliefs that drew me into Thirty-One.  If you want to learn more about Thirty-One or just take a look at the products, check out my webpage!

Saturday evening Justin and I grabbed dinner with his parents before spending the evening at home getting some chores done and hanging out.

Sunday morning we made our way to the Snowmobile Show for the 5th year (I think) in a row! I managed to pick up a super cute sweatshirt and a trucker hat while we were there {both of which I am wearing now haha}.  Justin also picked up a hoodie from Ski Doo.  I love my new sweatshirt and plan to wear it forever as often as possible.  Sunday afternoon we spent at home relaxing which is exactly what I needed.

Lows:

Generally not feeling that awesome yesterday.  I am not sure if it was a migraine or what.

November: Month @ a Glance

Happy November Friends!

Happy November! Can you believe we are officially in the holiday season? I am having a hard time registering that there are only two months left in the year.  Thankfully these next two months will be filled all of the fun upcoming holidays.

Things Happening This Month
  1. My Thirty-One launch party!
  2. The Snow Show at The Suburban Showplace
  3. Help Melissa update her closet
  4. Dinner Date with Vince & Caitlin
  5. Election Day!
  6. Trip to California for 10k and 1/2 Marathon
  7. Friendsgiving
  8. Sushi with the Girls
  9. Thanksgiving Dinner
  10. Gilmore Girls Revival
  11. PMP Exam
Goals for November

1. Read {at least} one book.  Right now I am still trying to finish What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty.  For the month of November, my goal is to finally finish this book.  I am studying for a big exam at the end of the month, so I will be pushing myself to finish this book (and at this point I may need to restart it).

2. Scripture Writing/ 30 Days of Thankful.  I have been attempting to do scripture writing every day this year {without much success}, but my goal is to be more in scripture and practice thanksgiving this month as we have been very blessed this year.  If you would like to follow along, you can check out my Instagram through << that link or through the images on the sidebar >>>.

3. Launch my Thirty-One Business.  Last month, I decided it was time for me to finally join the world of Thirty-One.  I have been debating for the last four or so years and I finally came to the conclusion that it is time for me to get into this cool company and start selling products I believe in wholeheartedly.  Over time, you will hear more about the business, but I promise I will not spam you with stuff!

Recap of October

1. Read {at least} one book.  In October, I did not finish a single book.  Things have been so busy lately that I have not been able to dedicate some time to reading (which makes me sad).  The plan was to finish What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty (at this point it's STILL embarrassing), read Hollow City by Ransom Riggs as well as finish  The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner.  I think I bit off more than I could chew.

2Scripture Writing.  Nope.  Not a single day was completed.

3. Get the Dining Room ready!  The goal was to get the dining room ready and for the most part we did! The walls have been painted, and the ceiling is half done.  We also had our table delivered! I am so excited about our table and was able to enjoy it last night while I was studying.  I'll do a whole post about our dining room once we completely finish it.

Question of the Day: What fun things do you have planned in November?

I'd love to hear from you!
