Happy Tuesday friends and happy First Day of Spring! Michigan is seeing a little sunshine and a little more warmth than we have in the past few weeks. In fact, Sunday we say 55 degrees! So of course you know I went for a walk outside with my friend and her cute baby boy (see him here on Instagram).
This week I am at training for work all week so my posts will likely be brief when I stop in to chat with you all. Before I get too far in to the post, look how cute this picture is:
Last week Justin's mom took us girls to see Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and it was my niece's first time going to see a musical. It was so much fun seeing Cinderella and watching my niece see her live for the first time. If you haven't checked out Cinderella before, I would highly recommend checking it out. The costuming and set design are fantastic!
This time last year I shared 25 Things to do this Spring on the blog and this year I plan to repeat some of those fun ideas because they were so much fun! This coming weekend we are having an Easter Egg hunt in our subdivision and JP and McKenna are planning to come join in the fun. I'm also hoping to decorate eggs while the kids are at the house because I love decorating Easter Eggs.
I'm also planning to get a few cute decorations to put up around the house this coming weekend. I already have my Hello Spring sign up, but I think I'd like to add a few more things to my collection. I bet Home Goods or Target would have some fun/cute ideas for decorations.

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! Today I wanted to share a little bit about Masked Beauty Skincare's NEW Luxury Face Masks! If you are anything like me, skin care is a bit baffling. I know I am supposed to moisturize, exfoliate, use sunscreen, etc., but I honestly feel like there is so many options out there that I often don't know where to begin.
Thankfully, I had the opportunity to try Masked Beauty Skincare's new luxury face masks. When it comes to exfoliating, I am not great about it. Of course, my lack of exfoliation ends up with me getting dry and flaky skin on my face (especially around my nose and eyebrows) which does not always look great under makeup. So when these two wonderful tubs came in the mail, I was super excited!
Masked Beauty Skincare sent me both the Coffee and Chocolate Facial Mask and the Purifying Charcoal and Diamond Mask along with a handy silicone applicator. For purposes of this review, I focused on the Coffee and Chocolate Mask first and will likely be sharing a review of the Charcoal and Diamond Mask on Instagram at a later date.
Before trying the mask, I spent a few minutes washing my face and removing my makeup so my skin would be fresh for the mask. Applying the mask was super simple with the silicone brush. All you have to do is take a little bit of the mask from the tub and put it on your face. The bottle recommends starting in the middle of your face and working your way outward so I started at my nose/forehead then made my way outward toward my ears and jawline.
The mask itself was a little goopy-er than I was anticipating, but it felt nice on the skin. I will say even with a stuffy nose (I had bronchitis last week), I could clearly smell the coffee and the chocolate on my skin. Once you cover your face, you are to wait five to ten minutes before removing the mask with warm water.
I honestly felt like I had put a delicious mixture of chocolate and coffee on my face - it felt so nice and soft on my skin and unlike other masks, it did not get stiff as it set. I would like to point out that it did burn my upper lip and nose a little bit when on, but my skin was raw from blowing my nose all week.
Once the mask had set for the allotted time, I gently removed it with a towel and warm water. The removal process was just as easy as the application and took me less than a minute to take it all off. Typically I am not a big fan of masks that are chunky, but the coffee pieces did not linger like some of the other masks I've tried.
So how did my skin feel?
Because I have sensitive skin, my skin turned red at the removal of the mask - I was not in pain, that is just how my skin looks when exfoliated (if you think this is red, you should see my eyebrows after a wax!). Not only did my skin feel sooooo soft after the mask, it felt very fresh and it smelled amazing! There is nothing more delicious than coffee and chocolate and I was able to smell it for several hours after I removed the mask.
The best part about the mask is I felt the effects from the exfoliation for several days after use. I was a bit worried the skin on my lip/nose area would be agitated after the mask, but the exact opposite happened. I think the caffeine from the chocolate and the coffee gave my skin a bit of a boost to help it heal after I beat it up all week.
So that is my review of Masked Beauty Skincare's New Face Masks! Thinking about getting one for yourself? You should! These masks are $7.99 retail price and can be found at stores like Albertsons, Safeway, Hy-Vee, Meijer, Marc's, Kinney Drugs and Weis. To get the silicone applicator, you would need to go to Rite Aid Drugstores to find one! These are easy and could be used for more than just the application of a face mask!

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend are looking forward to an exciting week ahead. This week is going to be a bit chaotic for me because I have a work event that will take up the majority of my time this week, but I always look forward to the event.
Today I wanted to talk a little bit about Photowall! They are a Swedish company with a passion for design and quality. They sell wall murals and canvas prints that are environmentally friendly, fire-retardant in accordance with Swedish standards and do not fade in sunlight. Not to mention all of their motifs are chosen with care.
So how in the world does one go about ordering a canvas print from Sweden? Pretty easily I must say. After spending a great deal of time on the website {there is so much to look at!}, I finally landed on the print of my choice. Being an avid lover of all things canvas and prints, I fell in love immediately with the one you see in the picture above. I have been leaning toward more geometric and modern pieces for my spaces at home so as soon as I saw this one it jumped right out at me! The neat thing about this print is that I can hang it any direction and the piece still looks pretty.
I must say, I had a blonde moment when I could not figure out how much it would cost US Dollars versus Swedish Dollars but the lovely Jennifer at Photowall pointed out to me that all you have to do is select what country you're in and it will automatically update to US Dollar. Easy peasy. To be honest, I assumed it would take several weeks for the product to arrive to my house, but it was there within the week. In fact, I ordered in on Valentine's Day and received it on February 19th - 5 days is all it took for me to get my hands on this beautiful print!
The package was smaller than I was anticipating, but I also knew that the item would come "deconstructed" to my house. The reason they do not ship the canvas as one piece is because it could break in the mail. By shipping the item disassembled to the customer, they are lessening the likelihood for the item to be broken on arrival.

Hardware for assembly (packaged separately in a sealed air bag for protection)
Packing Slip
Maple was not included in the packaging, but was very intrigued by what I was up to.
P.S. Can you believe how much bigger she is?! I mean, she's still little compared to the other fur babies, but she is significantly larger than when we got her (insert sad face).
Once I got everything unrolled and ready to set up, I followed the instructions from the YouTube Video link Photowall sent me with my confirmation. At first it seemed a little daunting to put together but the video made it rather straightforward and simple and I think I spent no more than 10 minutes putting it together (and that's a little longer than I think it would take - I just was multitasking and kept coming back to the canvas).
Once I got everything measured (I did not do this part very well ha!) , I peeled the coverings off the sticky part and put the wood pieces onto the canvas. Once I had the wood lined up, I stuck the corners down per the instruction of the video. In the picture below you can see how I have one corner done, but the other is not complete. The sticky pieces on the wood go all the way around the edges so you just lift the corners and stick them right down.
Once all of your corners are down you start putting the screws and metal pieces onto the wood. This part I struggled a tad bit with because I had some of the pieces a little off centered, but it was easy to fix and once I adjusted everything it fell right into place. This part was the most time consuming because you have to screw four screws down in each corner, but once you're done with that the canvas is together and ready to use. Photowall also provides it's customers with a screw, drywall anchor and hook for the frame so you do not have to purchase any extra supplies. You can just assemble your art and hang it up on the wall!
One thing I really appreciate about this canvas is the wood and metal pieces felt very sturdy and I am not worried that it will ever fall apart. Not to mention the canvas is very thick so I am not worried about wear or fading on the artwork.
Another nice thing about their website is you can upload your own images to be printed on to canvases or murals! I debated between ordering my own image or picking one of theirs but I honestly can say I would go back and order more. We are in the middle of redecorating our mudroom and powder room and I think I will be ordering more canvases from them for the space with my own images or theirs - I will just have to see what speaks to me more!

February proved a bit difficult for me and finding time to read. We spent a lot of our free time working on the house and if we weren't painting, cleaning or organizing, I was busy working on my Thirty-One Business or my day job.
That being said, I managed to finish one book! I am pleased with that number as it was a rather large book!
This is the second book in The Illuminae Files: Gemina and I am excited to say that I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the first one (Illuminae). This book definitely falls under the Sci-Fi category. But my favorite part of the book is the fact that it gives the readers insight to what all of the characters are seeing and feeling at any given moment because the story is told from multiple narratives. The book picks up where Illuminae left off, but now we are hearing more about what actually happened and learn more about why things happened as they did. I honestly cannot say too much more about the book without giving away too much, but if you enjoy sci-fi books or multiple narrative books, I would recommend this one as a to be read for you!

Yet again, it feels like the month has FLOWN by - and I think it's more dramatic because February is a few days shorter than the average month. February was so much fun with all of the random evens we had and ALL of the snow we had dumped on us by Mother Nature. At one point, we had over 16" (40.64 cm) in our front yard that promptly melted less than a week later. Michigan sure does have chaos when it comes to weather.
March is going to be a slower month for us in our personal lives, but our work lives are going to be crazy. Between his quarterly release and my digital summit, we're going to be exhausted. That being said, I'm looking forward to the weather starting to warm and more sunshiny days ahead.
So here's what we have going on this month!
On the Agenda this Month:
1. Eye doctor appointment for me! 2. All Committee Meeting for our HOA
3. Allergist Appointment 4. Justin's Quarterly Release 5. Seeing Cinderella with my Mother-in-law, sister-in-law and niece! 5. Celebrate and Connect Event for Thirty-One!
6. St. Patrick's Day Dinner/Celebration 7. The Sound of Music Live with my mom, cousin and aunt!
Goals for March
1. Read Two Books: I struggled to find time for reading in February and only managed to finish Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, but that works out because the third book in the series comes out this month! So for March I am planning to read Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and if that doesn't eat all of my time, I'll grab another book from my list.
2. Finish Decorating the Mud Room & Powder Room. I'm excited to report that the mudroom and powder room have been painted! The next step will be to get the bead board hung. Once that is done I can get to decorating the space! I have a few ideas, but I really am loving the idea of shelves above the toilet for the powder room. Something like this:

Justin is thinking he can build those shelves so once those are done, I will be spending some time looking for cute items to fill the space. I also need ideas for how to decorate a mudroom/hallway. It's a high traffic space, so I need to be cautious with what I hang there. 3. Finish moving boxes from the garage to the basement. The garage has been emptied of all but 2 or 3 boxes with the rest being trash. We've had to pilfer out trash week-by-week so we do not overload our trash pick up. Once all of the trash has been removed, the last few boxes will be emptied and moved to the basement (or thrown away/donated).
4. Get blinds/curtains for the garage and guest bathroom. So last month I talked about ordering blinds from Select Blinds, but I am actually thinking we will just go to Home Depot and get what we need from there. That way we don't have to wait for them to be delivered. {I know I'm super impatient, but I am just so excited!}. 5. Clean basement floors. So one of the things that we have not done yet is clean our basement floors. This seems like an odd one, but because our house was new when we bought it, the floors are extremely dusty. This means, when we go to the basement and come back up, we bring dust into the main part of the house. It's just a total mess at times. So I would like to take some time in March to vacuum/mop the floors and get rid of any trash in the basement.
