Friday Inspiration

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you had a wonderful week and have some fun an exciting plans for this weekend! Tonight we are having our Third Annual Fort Sleepover! I am super excited for the girls to come over and build another awesome fort in my living room.  #theinnerchildlives

Isn't this meme great? I laughed really hard when I saw it and had to share it with you all.  I know, I'm childish, but I think farts are hilarious and I am sure that more than one will be shared with the group tonight.

Lately, I have been dealing with a ton of internal negative dialogue, so I started pinning a ton of inspirational quotes.  Thankfully, they have been helping me out, so I figured I would share some with you all that have helped me this week (and will continue helping in the future).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{This one has been really hitting home for me this week}
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The quote about evaluating your words before they come from your mouth has been sticking in my mind this week.  I have a tendency to say things out of frustration // anger then end up getting myself in trouble.  The worse part is I do not realize I am doing it until, oftentimes, it is too late.  So to keep myself on track, I made that image the background on my phone.

I want my life to be filled with purpose, and part of that is making sure that my words and my actions are deliberate.  I do not want to walk through life willy-nilly ~ I want to be filled with purpose.

Anyway! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to hearing what fun things you did over the weekend at the Weekend Highs and Lows linky party on Monday

Question of the Day: What is your favorite inspirational quote?

I'd love to hear from you!

Friday Favorites #13

Happy Friday Friends!
It's FRIDAY, and that means I am participating in a fun linky party! Every week I will be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week.  The goal is to share random things, but I may end up doing some themed ones along the way.

I'm linking up today with AndreaErika and Narci for Friday Favorites!

Michigan has been having some rain and storms lately which we are so glad for! We have not had a whole lot of rain this summer and getting some rain meant for water for the plants and for cooler temperatures.  One of the pleasant side effects from the rain is the beautiful sunsets.  With the clouds hanging out, it makes for some beautiful colors in the sky as the sun says goodnight.  I grabbed this picture on my way home from Cycle the other day and fell in love.  It feels like almost every day we have been having these wonderful sunsets and I am so thrilled.

This shirt popped up on my Facebook feed yesterday and I fell in love instantly.  Fall is my favorite time of year and this shirt perfectly depicts exactly what the fall means to me.  I am hoping to get one of these shirts for this upcoming season.  We shall see!

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Last week while shopping for a gift for my father-in-law's birthday, I came across this bag and almost purchased it for him.  Both Justin's dad and I have extremely sarcastic and dry senses of humor, so when I saw this bag, I laughed out loud.  I stood there for easily five minutes debating whether or not to get it for him because while I know he would find it funny, it could come across as rude.  So I ultimately decided to not get it for him because Justin never provided any feedback and I had to get going.

This popped up in one of my travel groups on Facebook and I love it! I have been getting a bad case of the travel bug lately and this perfectly describing what I have been dreaming about.  Thankfully I have a few trips in the works for this year and next year so the need will be filled shortly.
*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

On Wednesday, mom and I went to a cake decorating class at our local community center.  Neither of us have had proper cake decorating training before, so it was so fun to learn a few techniques and get some pointers from a pastry chef.  It was great to meet some new people and to have a fun time decorating cakes with my mom.

Well that is all for today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with wonderful adventures! I'll be back Monday with a Weekend Recap!

This week we are focusing again on some of my favorite inspirational quotes! I hope that these bring you some happiness in the same manner they did for me.  And I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

This one actually applies to my responding to change post from Wednesday since it is reminding you to look for the Positive in  every situation.  Sometimes when life hands you a bunch of negatives, the best thing you can do is to take a step back and look for the good in every situation.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Over the past few weeks, I have been attempting to complete 10 cycle classes (CycleBar is having a 10-10-10 challenge: 10 classes in 21 days = free classes).  What I love about CycleBar is they send you a recap at the end of each class of how far you have come.  It is great to have a way to challenge yourself and when I am having a particularly difficult time in class, I remember that I have done better than I did in my first every cycle class at CycleBar.  It is always good to see how far you've come when you feel overwhelmed by the progress.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

This one is great! I have been finding that as I push myself a little harder on things, my natural inclination is to bail.  But I am realizing that it is more rewarding to push through the fear and finish what I started (even if it's not with finesse) than it is to walk away.  Obviously there are times when the right thing to do is to walk away, but just make sure you are walking away for the right reasons instead of the wrong ones.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

In a world where negative self-talk grows rampant like wildflowers, we have to remember not to be so negative toward yourself.  Think about the last time you said something negative to yourself? Now imagine saying that to your friend.  Not possible right? Well you need to give yourself the same courtesy as you do your friends.  It will spare you a ton of negativity in your life.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

I saw this one on Pinterest and fell in love! I am definitely going to be applying the Three C's in Life from here on out because they are good reminders to keep moving forward in life.  There is nothing worse than staying stagnant in life and this picture reminds me often that I need to keep pushing forward in life.

Friday Favorites #10

Happy Friday Friends!
It's FRIDAY, and that means I am participating in a fun linky party! Every week I will be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week.  The goal is to share random things, but I may end up doing some themed ones along the way.

I'm linking up today with AndreaErika and Narci for Friday Favorites!

For this series, I am going to post my favorite inspirational photos once a month! I have been needing inspiration lately and wanted to share with you all on a regular basis.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

This particular picture caught my eye because of how beautiful the watercolors were, then when I read the quote I knew I had to grab it for myself.  It is a firm reminder that no matter how awful life can get or how terrible things can seem, there is always good somewhere in this world.  All you have to do is take a step back and look around.  Chances are you will be surprised at how much good there actually is around you.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

As I entered into my "mid" (or is it late?) twenties, I started to really reflect back on my life.  Am I where I wanted to be? Have I accomplished everything that i wanted to accomplish? The answer to those questions is: No I have not.  However, I have come a long way and look forward to seeing what the rest of my twenties brings.  Life is such an amazing adventure and I cannot wait to see what my life brings.  I am sure I will not disappoint myself.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

When I originally grabbed this pin, I was grabbing it with the intent to remind myself of how much I have changed over the past year.  However, the last month I have realized that this also can apply to the next year.  With us finally buying a home, I feel like there are so many things that will happen over the next year and I am so excited to see what the next year brings!

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

I love this one! When I am having a particularly difficult day, I try to remind myself that no matter how frustrating things are, they are happening for a reason.  While difficult to do, I try to take a step back and see the good in the situation and look to see how I can change from this experience.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

This one jut made me giggle, but it is so true nonetheless.  I am going to have a lot of times in the next 5-6 months where I will need to remind myself that I just need to believe in me for 5 minutes.  It is amazing how much even 5 minutes can make such a huge difference in self-confidence.

Happy Friday Friends!
It's FRIDAY, and I've decided to join a new linky party! Every week I will be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week.  The goal is to share random things, but I may end up doing some themed ones along the way.

I was worried when we moved that the cats would have a difficult time adjusting to the house and I was 1/2 correct.  Leilah has been in some sort of hiding since Sunday, but Frye... he's already at home.  I love seeing him running around the house with his favorite mouse and hearing his paws pitter-pattering across the floors.  Hopefully Leilah comes around soon because I think she will love the space.

My girlfriend invited me to this event and I am super excited to go.  It is a Barre Fitness class that benefits Girls on the Run.  The class is $12, but every dollar raised for the the class will be donated to the Girls on the Run group.  Plus, it will be neat to do that class on top of the parking structure at the mall!

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Since we got new internet and cable at the house, I thought it would be funny to give our wi-fi a new and creative name like some of these people below decided to do.  If you have any funny ideas for internet wi-fi names please let me know! I am on the hunt for a fun and creative option.  If you want to see some other fun ones, check out this site

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

I saw this picture on Pinterest last week and had to pin it for myself.  I'm in the process of designing my craft space at the house and I thought this would be perfect for the space.  I am hoping I can either recreate it or buy it from the Etsy shop.  I am on the hunt for some good craft organization - do you have any suggestions for me?

Happy Friday Friends!
It's FRIDAY, and I've decided to join a new linky party! Every week I will be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week.  The goal is to share random things, but I may end up doing some themed ones along the way.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Today we are closing on our house! I cannot believe we are already here - it feels like we should still have another month before we would need to be doing anything for closing.  But, today at 9:00 we will go and sign on the dotted line!

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

Did you know that today is National Donut Day? Justin and I are going to stop and pick up some donuts on our way to the closing to have everyone start their day with a happy donut.  I also need a donut for one of my June Instagram challenges.  I would really like to stop and get Krispy Kreme, but I am not sure how that will work out, so we will see.

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

I don't know if any of you are avid Imgur users like myself, but when I saw this, I laughed out loud.  It comes from this funny "what would your wolf name be?" type thing and ever since then I have been laughing so hard.  If you want to check out the origin of moon moon, go to Imgur

*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*----*

I have been pinning all kinds of house stuff like crazy and came across this pin.  I am thinking that it might be a good thing to put in the door to our garage.  What do you think?

Sorry about the weird alignment, I am not sure how to get it to straighten out.

Here is another little funny image for all of you getting ready for summer then college in the fall:
